Movie Review: Captain America: The Winter Soldier | International Geek Girl Pen Pals Club
Cap is back in the latest installment of the Marvel Avengers arc, and Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) is looking much more on top of things since we last saw him in The Avengers. Captain America: The Winter Soldier opens with Steve in Washington D.C., working for S.H.I.E.L.D. on one of their highly trained tactical teams. Unlike the team from the TV show, “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.,” this team is mostly highly trained soldiers with missions such as freeing hostages, which we see them set out to do.

A Definition of ‘Geek’ | International Geek Girl Pen Pals Club
Around sign up time every month we have a few people getting in touch with us concerned that they are not ‘geeky’ enough to register for a pen pal. I would like to take a moment to dispel this myth…at IGGPPC there is no such thing as being too geeky or not geeky enough. We don’t want ANYONE to feel like they can’t get involved with the IGGPPC community!
We recently released the Top 30 geek loves listed over the last 12 months. That’s the top 30 taken from over 37,500 individual top 5s, realistically those loves are just a drop in the IGGPPC ocean, but I feel like it may have made some people feel that if they don’t like one of those we won’t consider them geeky enough. Well let me tell you, that is not the case.

An Introduction/ A Different Look to Prom | International Geek Girl Pen Pals Club
Hello all! I’m Meg, the new blogger for this fabulous website. My section will focus mainly on fashion and languages/culture, as these are my favorite things to discuss. :0) A bit about me: I’m sixteen, living somewhere in the Midwest of the United states. I enjoy clothes, learning languages, reading, and being awesome. Basically, in each post, I’ll write about something I found interesting in the categories of fashion, the world, or both. In this post, I’m thinking about prom. If you don’t know, prom is a very formal dance held at American high schools, and is considered to be a pretty big event. Unfortunately, it’s only for eleventh and twelfth graders. I can’t go, as a sophomore, but if I could I’d want to wear this: An ao dai. It’s a Vietnamese traditional dress, one that I find gorgeous.
